From what I heard and read about 70s Bistro, it is the center of rock n roll in Quezon City. I used to go to BBM in Manila, the center of folk rock in that area. Someday, I would like to get to 70s Bistro to get a taste of live rock n roll. Not that I haven't had a taste before. I had seen some. Once in a while, me and my friends also jam to some rock n roll pieces. We are not so seroius about it, but when we play, we can show that we can also rock decently. I hope the rock n rollers do not destroy the music that we love to listen to. They may have been rocking for a long time, but I hope they only get better. Some say that rock n roll had died more than thirty years ago, I say that it has been made to live by others who refused to believe that the "music" had died. There may have been no rock revolutionaries in the last thirty years, but it is enough that the music has been kept alive through lp/s, cds, live performances and the never ending resurgence of bands and single artist/s who rock for music sake. I believe that rock n roll is not a nostaligic trip, but a re-discovery of treasure of music and keeping it alive. We have to keep on going, at the same time we pay respect to our music heroes. Here's my piece: i am 43 and have 2 children, one is 24 and the other is 11. The eldest, a she, had her first taste of live bar music b4 she turned 11, twas a monday and Grace Nono was playing. My 11 year old son had his first at 6, and twas a friday and the Jerks were playing. Saan pa kundi parehong sa 70s Bistro. That is telling a lot about the place! It's been 14 yrs of the coolest gigs in the metropolis. I now operate a small blues joint somewhere in QC and we play recorded audio and video blues-based gems, but when i feel the urge to listen to live band music, I still keep on coming back to the same place. The 70s Bistro. More power to Renard and the gang!

I was only 15 years old when I first came at 70's bistro, and now I'm 28. still the ambiance is the same...that good old feeling of rock n roll..parang cavern ng UK mga tol. many memories sobra sa place nato, so many bars na today..but still the 70's still there for us. more power sa 70's.
